Chantelle Proia has been working in the Health and fitness industry for 16 years. The first 5 years of her career Chantelle worked as an Athletic Trainer (Sports Medicine). During these 5 years, she worked for two establishments as a Certified Athletic Trainer. The first establishment was the University of Connecticut where she was the Athletic Trainer for the Field Hockey Team. While working at the University, Chantelle was attending Graduate School and obtaining her Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Fitness Management. After Graduating, Chantelle moved on to her second establishment working for Health South Rehabilitation Center in Danvers, MA. They contracted her out to Danvers High School where she was the Athletic Trainer for all of the High School’s athletic teams. During Chantelle’s career as an Athletic Trainer she evaluated, pre-habilitated, and rehabilitated athlete’s of various ages and skill levels with the goal of getting them get back to playing the sports they loved.
After 5 years working as an Athletic Trainer, Chantelle decided she wanted to pursue her love of health and fitness. For the past 11 years, Chantelle has been working in the health and fitness industry as a Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, Nutrition Specialist, Health and Wellness promoter, and Fitness Director for Boston Herald’s Corporate Fitness Center.
In the past 11 years, Chantelle has instructed a multitude of fitness classes to Women and Men of all ages. Her teaching experience includes: Kickboxing, Spin, Resistance Training, Step Aerobics, Boot Camp, Urban rebounding, and PiYo. Chantelle is known for her creative, fun, and motivating workouts that incorporate both old school techniques and those that are on the cutting edge of the fitness industry. She believes that the Boot Camp workout is successful because it pushes you to the next fitness level in an atmosphere surrounded by camaraderie and positive reinforcement. It is challenging, but highly rewarding and extremely effective. Chantelle' s continuous participation in Educational Training Courses allows her to stay current and on top of her game.
Her love for exercise and fitness began when she was in High School competing as a varsity athlete in Track and Field. Chantelle has always been fascinated with how the human body functions and her passion for exercise, nutrition, health and well-being has been an integral part of her life. One of the most rewarding aspects of her career is witnessing the positive life changes exercise makes in people's lives. The reward of helping others achieve their health and fitness goals is what motivates Chantelle to be the best that she can be in the fitness industry. According to Chantelle, fitness is more than just looking and feeling good; it’s a way of life. She believes that fitness helps people achieve the self-confidence, stamina, energy, and discipline that they need to be successful in every aspect of life.
Chantelle has always loved to compete in athletics and still loves to participate in running events, adventure races, hiking with Mr. Max her adorable Chocolate Labrador Retriever, skiing, and any other activity that makes staying fit fun! Chantelle is very excited to bring Adventure Boot Camp to the North Shore ( North Reading, MA).
